Popular Malayalam actor Sudheer Sukumaran, who is known for his roles in Dracula, Kochi Rajavu and several other hits, have openly spoke about his fight with cancer. Taking to his social media handle, Sudheer spoke about how a food item that he repeatedly had as part of his fitness regime resulted in cancer.

The actor revealed that a part of his intenstine was removed on January 11 and that he is recovering now. Concluding on a positive note, the actor said that he recently joined the shoot of a major Telugu project and that he would face his health condition with a smile.

Sudheer Sukumaran's Facebook post reads

“From the time of my film ‘Dracula,’ body building is my passion. I believe that my hard work has also inspired many for the past 10 years. But, unexpectedly, the rhythm of my life got affected. Some food item that I repeatedly had resulted in me getting cancer. Despite being someone who always faces adversities of life with a smile, at first, I was a bit alarmed. I am not scared to die. But, I have always been scared to live watching death right in front of me. My doctor and elders gave me the strength to live. My surgery was over on January 11. A part of my intestine is removed, and on January 25, the stitch was taken off. Chemotherapy has started. I am tired of hearing lines like ‘Your hair will fall off’ and ‘You will lose all your weight.’ Leaving everything to fate, forgetting it all, with a lot of expectations, I joined the shoot of a major Telugu project I was part of, yesterday. Thanks a lot to Vineeth Thirumeni and director Manu. Let it be, I will face it head on, with a smile!”

Sudheer Sukumaran who shot to fame through serials, played the lead in Vinayan’s Dracula 3D that was released in 2021. The actor had raked up a controversy alleging that the director cheated him by paying a low remuneration of 96,000, despite the movie making a huge profit. He also said that the actor had spent around 8 lakh to get into the muscular looks of Dracula.
