"Bigg Boss" is the biggest hit among the other television reality shows in India. The show was adapted from the Dutch reality competition "Big Brother". The Indian version of Bigg Boss is carried on in 7 Indian languages.

The regional versions of the show were being telecasted on different TV channels. Earlier, it was reported that the super hit show is coming to the digital OTT platform as a mini version. A few days ago, the first promo of “Bigg Boss OTT” starring Bollywood star Salman Khan was disclosed by the Voot platform.

The big suspense over the host of Bigg Boss OTT ends here. While names like Sidharth Shukla, Farah Khan, Rohit Shetty were doing rounds, it is now officially announced that ace Bollywood director "Karan Johar" will be hosting this OTT version.

The filmmaker will host this sassier and spicier version of Bigg Boss which launches on August 8 on Voot. Karan has promised that Bigg Boss OTT will be a lot more “sensational and dramatic”.

Having hosted multiple seasons of Koffee with Karan, Karan Johar is all set to adapt to this new role. The filmmaker has also judged reality shows like India’s Got Talent, Nach Baliye, and India’s Next Superstar.

On the work front, Karan Johar is directing an untitled love movie starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, which is slated for 2022 release.
