In a shocking piece of news, popular Tamil TV actress VJ Chitra died by suicide in a hotel in Nazarethpettai. The 29-year-old had reportedly completed shooting at the famous EVP film city in Chennai and had returned to her hotel room in the wee hours of Wednesday. Chitra had been staying with businessman Hemanth, with whom she had got engaged just a few months before. 

Hemanth has said that Chitra had informed him that she will be back after bathing and had not returned for a long time. When she didn't return, Hemanth reportedly called a hotel employee, who opened the door with a duplicate key, only to find that his fiance was hanging from the ceiling fan with her saree. The Nazarethpettai police have filed a case and are investigating the matter.

In the meantime, in the wake of the sad piece of news, videos shared by Chitra on her Instagram handle have turned viral. The actress had shared videos of her shooting for a show with Sharanya Turadi just 14 hours before her death.
