Veteran actress Shanthi Krishna’s father R Krishnan passed away after battling with COVID-19. The 92 years old passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru on Monday morning.

Sharing the news on social media, Shanthi Krishna wrote, "When can I ever do this again Appa... I miss u so much ... can’t believe u r no more... u will always be with us Appa ... I love uuuuu???????????? ... May ur soul Rest In Peace ??????".

Krishnan was undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailments for the past few days. After he was recently tested positive for COVID-19, his health condition started deteriorating. His last rites was performed as per COVID protocol.

He is survived by his wife K Saradha, elder son Tamil movie director Suresh Krishna and daughter actress Shanthi Krishna.
