Last weekend, the first look poster and teaser of the biopic of former Chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha titled Thalaivi directed by AL Vijay and starring Kangana Ranaut in the title role was released, and the movie is planned to be released in June next year.

On the other end, another biopic of Jayalalitha named "The Iron Lady" was also announced, to be directed by debutant Priyadarshini and will have Nithya Menen playing Jayalalitha. Now, Nithya Menen has said that she will be a perfect choice to play the role.

Nithya Menen has said that she shares a lot of similarities with Jayalalitha, and they have both studied in Bangalore, their habits, speaking style, mannerism have similarities and even director Priyadarshini has said this many times. Nithya added that just like Jayalalitha she also openly says things she doesn't like and has the good qualities of her, and is preparing hard to play the role.
