In connection with the bomb attack that happened on the eve of the election day, popular Malayalam actress Priyanka Anoop has been grilled by the Police. The attack was conspired by EMCC president and Democratic Social Justice party candidate Shiju Varghese, who has been already arrested. Priyanka was interrogated based on the evidence of the telephonic conversation between Shiju and her.

Priyanka, who was the candidate of DSJP from Aroor, said she has no connection with the bomb attack. She said that she had only telephonic contact with Shiju with regards to the election and had met him only twice. Priyanka further added that she came to know Shiju was the accused in the bomb attack through media reports. However, the Police say that Priyanka and Shiju had bank transactions for the election campaign and they have met several times.
