While theatres were closed due to Coronavirus pandemic, before few months the government allowed reopening of theatres with 50% occupancy.

With Pongal set to arrive in few days and with movies like Master and Eeswaran releasing, yesterday the Tamil Nadu Government announced that they're permitting theatres to increase occupancy from 50 to 100%.

While many celebrities and film industry personalities have welcomed this decision, few have opposed it due to the pandemic situation, and one of them is actor Arvind Swami. Arvind Swami has tweeted "There are times when 50% is way better than a 100%. This is one of them." This sensational statement from the actor has turned viral.
