It was only two weeks before that actress Poonam Pandey tied the knot with her beau Sam Bombay and shared photos of their wedding and yesterday the actress gave a shocker by filing a case of assault against her husband, landing him in jail.

Sam Bombay was arrested by police in Goa on Monday, and was released on bail later. Poonam and Sam had gone to Goa for a shoot, and Poonam has said that they had an argument following which Sam started hitting her, choked her and punched on her face. She added that Sam also pulled her hair and banged her head against the corner of the bed.

Reportedly, Poonam Pandey was able to break free and the hotel staff called the cops, who arrested Sam. Poonam revealed that the three-year relationship with Sam was always an abusive one and that she had been to hospitals on several occasions. Poonam said that she believed marriage could make things better but now has decided to end her marriage stating that she would prefer being single rather than being in an abusive relationship, and that's it not good to return to a person who has beaten her like an animal.
