Poola Rangadu is US winner, followed by LF

Poola Rangadu has emerged the BO winner in the US market. Though it was released a day later than Love Failure and Nippu, the film has mopped up more than these two films. In fact, its share (USD 75000) is way more than the Ravi Teja-starrer, which collected a pathetic USD 16000.

What about Love Failure? The film is doing well and its share is not very far too behind Poola Rangadu. It has collected USD 60000. Unlike Nippu, it has potential to collect more in the coming days, what with demands for additional prints coming from several States. Given its small release, LF has put up a fantastic show.

The miserable performance of Nippu, to say the least, is a shock. Starring a so-called Mass Maharaja, the film is the least popular of Telugu releases in recent times. Even a small film made on a shoestring budget and with less-known/unknown faces, if it generates positive buzz, collects more than what Nippu has clocked in all these days. The claims of Gunasekhar, who said that Nippu will surpass the US collections of Choodalani Undi and Okkadu have fallen flat.

Meanwhile, K Atchi Reddy is laughing his way to the bank on the virtue of releasing his film on a big scale, in association with RR Movie Makers.
