Following the success of 'Anjathey', actor Narain was waiting patiently to commence his next film. Though he came across several scripts, he finally zeroed in on 'Pookadai Ravi' after a lot of thought. Interestingly the film is set in the Madurai backdrop.

Says Narain, ' movies set with the Madurai backdrop have gone on to become big hits. Hopefully 'Pookadai Ravi' would go on to become a blockbuster'.

Narain has learnt the diction of Madurai Tamil and the body language of people living in the temple town. A major portion of the movie has been completed.

The movie is basically about the brother-sister relationship shared between the hero and his seven-year-old sibling. The entire talkie portion has been completed in and around Madurai. The song sequences are to be shot soon.
