Pooja Hegde is on cloud nine, for she has won the Best Actress (Telugu) award for her performance in 'Most Eligible Bachelor' (2021). She received the award at the 10th edition of the South Indian International Movie Awards, held yesterday in Bengaluru.
"She delivered a stellar performance in 'Most Eligible Bachelor'. She totally deserves to win the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Telugu). She is none other than Pooja Hegde. Congratulations! (sic)," the organizers said.
'MEB', directed by Bommarillu Baskar and starring Akhil Akkineni in the lead, is easily one of Pooja Hegde's best acting performances. "Her acting graph soars in the second half. Her long delivery at a wedding is a treat to watch. She gets the lip sync spot-on. The superstar actress has definitely worked hard to get her dialogue delivery right. After all, Vibha is not a glamorous character but a stand-up comedian who has a philosophy to reckon with," IndiaGlitz wrote in its review.
Her film SSMB28, starring Mahesh Babu and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, will go on the floors later this month. The film, which is yet to be titled, will hit the screens on 28 April 2023. Haarika & Hassine Creations is producing it.
