It has been rumoured that Pooja Hegde has demanded Rs 2 Cr for her relatively short role in Varun Tej's 'Valmiki'. How can she get that much money for a mere 15-minute role? This is the question many have asked over the last 3-4 days. Sections of media have even said that Pooja has been over-hyped, which is why she is demanding the moon these days.

It has also been believed that Tollywood is literally left with very limited options these days, especially after Tamannaah, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha have become choosy. So, Pooja demanding super-high remuneration is a function of supply-demand equations, commentators have said.

As per the film's director Harish Shankar, however, there is no iota of truth in the rumour. We can be sure that Pooja has only demanded what is expected of a star heroine.
