It was recently reported by sections of media that Ketika Sharma would be playing the female lead in Akhil's fourth film. Turns out that the news is false.

Star actress Pooja Hegde has been brought on board. The Akkineni hero and director 'Bommarillu' Bhaskar were keen on having the 'Maharshi' and 'Ala Vaikunthapuramulo' damsel for the performance-oriented role. Since Bhaskar's heroines (such as in 'Bommarillu' and 'Parugu') have always had meaty roles, expect Pooja to have landed a nice role. She is lucky that the schedule of her film with Prabhas has been rejigged to a future date. This has allowed her to do Akhil's film.
