Actor and politician Prakashraj's wife and dance choreographer Pony Verma has made an appeal to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to avoid using film industry personalities and celebrities for election benefits. Recently actor Akshay Kumar had interviewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The interview was projected as an unbiased, unpolitical interview, but it was criticized by many as a publicity material to improve the image of the PM and destroy the negative talks about him. In such a situation, Pony Verma has tweeted PM Modi to spare the film celebrities, and not use them for elections.
"Requesting Mr. PM to leave our film industry & don’t use them for your elections. I understand their position, even if they don’t want to, how can they say no to you. I won’t be surprised that the last final day you ll have interview done with one of the Khans!!! Plz spare them" read her tweet. It must be noted that Prakashraj has been against BJP, and contested this election as an independent candidate from Bangalore central constituency.
