The renowned Kollywood stars, Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith Kumar are the market leaders in Tamil cinema. They are considered rivals in the industry for a long time and their upcoming films, 'Varisu' and 'Thunivu', are clashing at the box office after nine years on Pongal 2023.

A recent report suggests that Trisha is going to play the female lead in Vijay and Ajith's next projects, 'Thalapathy 67' and 'AK62'. It is already reported that the 'Ponniyin Selvan' actress is pairing up with Vijay in Thalapathy 67 after 14 years. Now, sources tell us that she is going to share screen space with Ajith in AK62 after Yennai Arindhaal.

The last time when the same actress played the heroine in Vijay and Ajith films was Shruthi Haasan in 'Puli' and 'Vedalam'. For the unversed, Lokesh Kanagaraj is set to direct Vijay in 'Thalapathy 67', produced by 7 Screen Studio, after Varisu. Vignesh Shivan will direct Ajith in 'AK62', produced by Lyca Productions, after Thunivu. Anirudh will be composing music for both projects.
