'Ponniyin Selvan' singer Rakshita Suresh involved in a major car accident

Young playback singer Rakshita Suresh has sung in several films and solo albums, including a hit song featured in 'Ponniyin Selvan' composed by A.R. Rahman and directed by Mani Ratnam.
Rakshita has shared on Instagram that she was traveling to the Chennai airport to catch a flight to Malaysia when the car she was in suddenly met with a freak accident. She said that she was lucky to survive such a major mishap and thanked God.
Rakshita wrote "Met with a major accident today. The car that I was in rammed into a divider, and smashed to the side of the road while I was heading back to the airport in Malaysia this morning. My entire life flashed infront of me during those 10 seconds of impact.."
The 24 year old talented singer added "Thanks to the airbags, otherwise things would've been worse. Still shaking from whatever happened, but I'm so glad that me, the driver and the other co-passenger who was sitting in the front seat are safe with just minor external injuries and a few internal injuries. Grateful and lucky to be alive."
Rakshitha has sung the song 'Kaathodu Sol' in 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' and 'Kirunage' in the Kannada of ;Ponniyin Selvan 2. Her other film songs include 'Vanda Rajawadhan Varavane' and 'Vendhu Thaninthathu Kaadu' and the independent video song 'Kutty Pattaas'.
