'Ponniyin Selvan-I' is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s Tamil novel on the life of Raja Raja Chozhan. The movie will hit the screens on Sept 30.
The news is that a new lyrical video titled 'Raachasa Maavaya' from the movie is out. The Rahman composition is supported by singers Shreya Ghoshal, Shankar Mahadevan, and Mahesh Vinayakram, the first of two lend energy and melodious muscle to the mood-based song. The chorus by kids is sweet. Lyricist Anantha Sriram rises to the occasion.
"You say it's Tuesday. We say it's Vibe to 'Ratchasa Maamaney' / 'Rakshas Mama Re' / 'Raachasa Maavaya' / 'Rakshasa Maamane' day! (sic)," the makers of the movie today said, plugging the song across languages.
Meanwhile, Lyca Productions today announced that the epic movie will be released in Hindi by Pen Movies of 'RRR' fame. K Senthil will be releasing the Mani Ratnam directorial in Karnataka.
The film features Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Ashwin Kakumanu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Parthiban, Rahman, Lal, and others.
