'Ponniyin Selvan-I', the Mani Ratnam magnum opus, was recently confirmed for an IMAX. As is known, the film hits the screens on Sept 30.
On Friday, the core team of the film was in Hyderabad to release the lyrical video of a song titled 'Chola Chola'. Sung by Mano and Anurag Kulkarni, its lyrics have been penned by Anantha Sriram. The AR Rahman musical is addictive and very original. Releasing the song, the makers described it as it as a battle cry.
Done under the music supervision of Nakul Abhyankar and the language supervision of Srinivasa Murthy, the song seems to arrive at a crucial juncture in the movie.
As is known, the film stars Vikram (as Aditya Karikalan) and Karthi (as Vanthiyathevan) in author-backed roles. Jayam Ravi has got the titular role. Kundavai (Trisha) and Nandhini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) are also part of the cast. Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban have got different roles.
