The most awaited announcement from the team of Ponniyin Selvan Part One is here for the Telugu fans- who are eagerly waiting to attend the Pre-Release Event and witness the stars of the movie.

The team planned a proper promotional schedule across India and they are beginning the Telugu state promotions this September 23. The pre-release event of this grandeur epic cinema will officially be held today evening at JRC Conventions from 6 pm onwards.

As the team is headed towards Hyderabad a new picture of the cast of PS I has surfaced online. In the picture, we could see, Karthi, Jayam Ravi and Vikram seated next to each other while Aishwarya Lekshmi posed for a quick picture with them.

Ponniyin Selvan is a historic fiction novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy, written in Tamil. It tells the story of the early days of Arulmozhivarman who later turned into the Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I (947 CE – 1014 CE). Kalki visited Sri Lanka 3 times to collect information about it.

The film stars an ensemble cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. The music is composed by AR Rahman, with cinematography handled by Ravi Varman, editing done by A Sreekar Prasad and production design by Thota Tharani.
