Mani Ratnam's mega multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' which released on September 30th last year became the highest grossing film ever in Tamil cinema history. The sequel 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' is all set to release wordwide this April 28th with huge expectations. Both the first and the second part of 'Ponniyin Selvan' contains an ensemble cast of top actors and actresses such as Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Prabhu, R Sarath kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and Radhakrishnan Parthiban.

Famous actor Ashwin Kakkamanu plays the role of Sendhan Amudhan in the films and his performance was well noticed in the first part. Ashwin has revealed on Instagram that his wife Sonali has given birth to their second child a baby boy.Ashwin wrote alongside adorable pics of the new arrival and his wife and little daughter and wrote "On April 2nd,2023 we welcomed a baby boy into the world and our family. Mother and baby are recovering well. Avira is being a caring sister and mamma is being a superhero. Happy Easter everyone! Be kind Universe".

Ashwin is awaiting the release of 'Pizza 3 The Mummy' produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment in which he plays the lead with Pavithra Marimuthu and Gaurav Narayanan.
