'Ponniyin Selvan 2' is slated for a grand theatrical release on April 28. The cast and crew along with director Mani Ratnam will begin the promotional tour for the magnum opus on April 16. Coimbatore is going to be the first stop for the Cholas as they'll be at the Prozone Mall on Sunday.

The news is that the epic blockbuster is going to be released on EPIQ, the premium large-format cinema screen. The film is already going to hit the screens in IMAX and 4DX formats in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The sequel to last year's first part will be 2 hours 44 minutes long, which is a few minutes lesser than 'PS-1'.

Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the trailer for 'PS-2' was released recently. Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are poised to deliver magic. The music is from AR Rahman.
