Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' is ready to astonish the fans again with its sequel, which is slated to be released on April 28 all over the globe. The first part will be re-released a week before the sequel's release. As the release date is getting closer, all eyes are on the movie makers to start their promotional tour.

It is worth mentioning that the team's promotional campaign before the release of Ponniyin Selvan 1 became a huge sensation across the country. Now, sources say that Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies asked for the dates of the lead artists starting from April 16 to 28 for Ponniyin Selvan 2 promotions. If everything goes well, the PS2 campaign will begin this weekend.

The two weeks of mighty promotions have been planned in various cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin & few North Indian states. An official announcement regarding the film's promotional tour will be made by the production houses soon. Ponniyin Selvan will hit the screens in five languages in IMAX and 4DX versions worldwide.

The historical fantasy film stars Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Ashwin Kakamanu, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Vikram Prabhu, Mohan Ram and others. With music by Isai Puyal AR Rahman, PS-2 has cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by Sreekar Prasad with art direction by Thota Tharrani.
