On Friday, the magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' debuted on the silver screens all over the globe. Directed by legendary Mani Ratnam, the film opened to an enormously positive response from audiences and critics alike. PS-2 surpassed its predecessor in satisfying the watchers already.

We all know that Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 minted around Rs 500 crore at the box office and became one of the highest-grossers in Kollywood history. Now, the makers have officially announced that PS-2 has reached its first milestone in the box office run. Ponniyin Selvan 2 joined the 100 crore club in just two days and is expected to equal PS-1's collection soon.
