Official! ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ theatrical trailer release details announced with a fiery poster

‘Ponniyin Selvan’, the two-part film franchise by legendary director Mani Ratnam, is one of the long-time dreams of Tamil cinema. While the first part became an industry hit last year, the sequel is gearing up for a grand release on April 28 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

We broke to you first that the Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer will be released on March 29th along with the film’s songs. Now, the producers have made the official announcement regarding the PS-2 trailer with a fiery poster featuring Aditha Karikalan (Chiyaan Vikram) and Nandhini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). Sharing the poster, they wrote, “Fire in their eyes. Love in their hearts. Blood on their swords. The Cholas will be back to fight for the throne! #PS2TrailerFromMarch29” (sic).

Ponniyin Selvan 2’s ensemble cast comprises Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Ashwin, Mohan Ram, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vikram Prabhu and others. The technical team includes music by AR Rahman, DOP by Ravi Varman, editing by Sreekar Prasad and art direction by Thota Tharrani.
