Chiyaan Vikram is one of the best actors of all time. He has pulled off many tough roles with ease and proved his prowess. Last year, he astonished the audience with his performance as Aditha Karikalan, the hot-headed and heartbroken Chola crown prince in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 1.
Yesterday, Chiyaan made an impressive speech at the Ponniyin Selvan 2 audio and trailer launch event in Chennai. Vikram started his speech with his signature dialogue from part 1, "Ellame avalai marakka thaan. Ennai marakka thaan." He said, "Playing the character of Karikalan in 'Ponniyin Selvan' was a very difficult task."
"I took that difficulty as a challenge and acted. I know I had many lessons, many hardships, and many experiences while acting in this film. Not only me but everyone who acted in this film has worked very hard and we are giving you this film as a gift. You all have made the first part of this film a tremendous success. Thank you very much for that," added the acclaimed actor
The Anniyan actor continued, "I consider it a godsend that I got the character of Aditha Karikalan. He has valour, friendship, affection for his family, and love for Nandini. Even though he is such a great hero, he leaves everything behind without respecting anything in the end. I really liked that character. I feel very blessed to have done that."
"I consider myself very fortunate to have worked with Mani sir in particular. I feel proud that I am also alive in Mani sir's time and I am present in his cinema. Rahman sir has composed the music very well in this film. My thanks to him. My thanks to all the technicians who worked on this film. I am thankful to Subhaskaran sir for making such a big film that reached the audience like this," said actor Vikram.
