Ponnambalam hospitalized with serious ailment- Kamal Haasan extends a helping hand

Veteran actor Ponnambalam has been admitted to a private hospital in Adyar, Chennai with a serious kidney ailment. Kamal Haasan who introduced him as an actor in 'Michael Madhana Kamarajan' has made frequent calls to enquire about his health and has not only reported to have agreed to foot the medical bills but also take care of the education of his two children.
Ponnambalam started his career as a stuntman and has done numerous film before donning villain roles and also character and comedy roles in hundreds of Tamil and other language movies. He got familiar to the younger generation after appearing in the 'Bigg Boss' season one hosted by Kamal Haasan and gained the reputation of a straightforward and jovial personality.
