Harris, born into a pious Christian Nadar family in Chennai, studied at the Krishnasamy Matric School. He later obtained a music degree in London. His father, S.M. Jayakumar, is a film guitarist who was a noted musician and composer.

The latest buzz in Kollywood is that ‘Robot’, the grand and possibly the biggest film in Indian history, would have two heroines. Nayantara and Deepika Padukone are said to be the twin heroines of the movie.

Voice against remix songs

Veteran lyricist Pulamai Piththan has vociferously raised his voice against remixing old songs. “It is an insult to those songs”, thundered the poet. He went to the extent of saying that he would sue the music director, who does the remixing.
