A teacher, who had been stealing cycles of students and selling, had been caught red handed. The crime of the teacher came to light, when Moorthy(48) belonging to Pollachi, Coimbatore parked his cycle near a private school and went to his relative's house, and found the cycle missing when he returned.

He went on to file a complaint in the Mahalingapuram police station, and it was followed by similar complaints filed by Srinivasan and Subramaniam in the same station. After this, Mahalingapuram police were involved in searching of vehicles, and after suspicious behavior, they stopped and enquired 2 men.

One of them was a teacher working in a private school, named Parthiban(22) and another was a class 10 student. Upon further enquiry it was found that Parthiban had made his student steal cycles of 13 students who come to study in his tuition center, and selling these cycles, Parthiban was earning money. The teacher and the student were arrested and the cycles stolen were seized.
