The state of Tamil Nadu has been in shock ever since the news about a gang of four Thirunavukkarasu, Sabarirajan, Vasanthakumar and Sathish reportedly raped and video graphed around 200 women. One teenage girl who was subject to abuse by the men had lodged a complaint and the police had arrested the three men in February end and the absconding mastermind Thirunavukkarasu was finally nabbed on March 5th. Thirunavukkarasu had circulated a audio clip in which he has stated that the ruling party bigwigs are involved in the scandal and that he needed support of opposition, police and judges to expose them and tell the truth. News has been circulated that the four accused have been granted bail and are roaming freely. The truth according to police sources is that all of them are in judicial custody and the investigations are going on in the right track.
