Court orders 25 lakhs compensation to Pollachi victim and action against SP

In a sensational turn of events the Madras High Court has ordered the Tamil Nadu government to pay rupees twenty-five lakhs as compensation to the Pollachi rape survivor. The judges N. Kirubakaran and S.S. Sundar slammed the Coimbatore SP. R. Pandiarajan for revealing the name of the teenage girl involved in the case and asked necessary action to be taken against him.
The judges also ordered the cancellation of the government order transferring the case to the CBI in which all details of the girl, her family members and even where she is studying were available.
