Elections, it seems, are the life and soul of India.

At any given moment, an election of sorts is on somewhere in the country. The BCCI elections (a cussed one) are just over and the Maharashtra polls are staring at us in the face.

Closer home, in Tollywood, the MAA (the apex association for Telugu film artistes) is getting ready for elections. And this time around, it is going to be lot of fun and fanfare as the colorful Mohanbabu is in the running for the presidentship ---- He filed his nomination at the office of Gummadi Venkateswara Rao, MAA's election officer.

Others in the fray are: Sivakrishna (executive vice president), Naga Babu and K Mallikarjuna Rao (vice president), Sivaji Raja (chief secretary), Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao (treasurer), Jayasudha (joint secretary), Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, S V Krishna Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Srikanth, Dasari Arun Kumar, Giri Babu, Srihari, Venu, Ali, Sumanth, Ahuti Prasad, Jeevitha and Allari Naresh (executive members).

Though there is acrimony to the elections, there is plenty of interest on who is getting elected as what.

The elections are slated for October 10th.
