It was hooliganism on the part of a few activists belonging to Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) when they assaulted an employee of PVR Icon multiplex in Pune for charging ''high'' prices on food items.
On Thursday evening, the said multiplex saw scuffles between the assaulters and others when the former came unannounced, holding placards and raising slogans against the "unaffordable' rates sold at the canteens in the multiplex building. One of the offenders was seen slapping and manhandling an employee of PVR and even threatened the staff who tried to prevent the situation from going out of hand.
It all started as a protest against popcorn being sold at Rs. 250 and even Vada paav at Rs. 100. Police cases have been filed against the offenders.
