The recent stampede at Sandhya Theater during the Pushpa 2 premiere has taken a dramatic turn. The Chikkadapalli Police issued notices of show cause to the theater management. This action comes after Allu Arjun's arrest and subsequent interim bail, amid reports that the Hyderabad Police plan to challenge his bail in the Supreme Court.

The police cited several operational shortcomings at Sandhya Theater that allegedly contributed to the fatal incident. They highlighted the absence of proper entry and exit signboards, inadequate crowd management, and unauthorized flexis set up outside the theater.

The combined seating capacity of the Sandhya 70MM and 35MM theaters is approximately 2,520, but the infrastructure and safety measures were found lacking.

The show cause notice also criticized the theater management for failing to notify the local police about Allu Arjun’s visit. Despite being aware of his arrival, the management reportedly did not make adequate seating arrangements or plan crowd control measures. Furthermore, Allu Arjun's private security was allowed inside without prior coordination, while ineffective ticket checks led to unauthorized entries, swelling the crowd inside the theater.

The police demanded an explanation from the theater management within ten days, raising the possibility of the theater’s license being revoked if their response was deemed unsatisfactory.
