Senior producer Bellamkonda Suresh has been bankrolling movies since the early 2000s. His son Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is set to debut in Bollywood with the Hindi remake of 'Chatrapathi.
The father-son duo is in the news because a financier named VL Sravan Kumar has approached the Banjara Hills police station to lodge a cheating case against Suresh. As per him, the producer and his son, known for movies like 'Jaya Janaki Nayaka', had taken a loan of Rs 85 lakh from him way back in 2018. They have allegedly not honoured the repayment so far. Moreover, as per the complainant, they even allegedly threatened him for seeking repayment.
The financier also alleged in his complaint that Suresh, who produced hit movies like 'Lakshmi Narasimha' in the 2000s, reneged on another promise related to a film production partnership.
Bellamkonda Suresh's younger son Ganesh is debuting as an actor in Telugu. 'Swathi Muthyam', directed by Lakshman K Krishna, is his debut movie. It stars Varsha Bollamma as the heroine. As for elder son Srinivas, his 'Chatrapathi' is directed by VV Vinayak.
