Vaishnavite seer Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami is facing a police complaint for making remarks against the tribal goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma in the past. An old video has resurfaced on the Internet, resulting in the complaint.

As per reports, a tribal outfit has filed a police complaint against the Hindu seer in Dummagudem police station in Kotthagudem district.

A tribal leader said that Chinna Jeeyar doesn't know the history of tribal culture. He added that the spiritual exponent made the remarks from a place of ignorance.

Meanwhile, Mulug MLA Seethakka has also hit out at Jeeyar. "Andhra Chinna Jiyar Swami, why these arrogant words on Sammakka Saralamma, the symbol of our Telangana self-respect struggle? There is not even a single rupee ticket for the darshan of our deities but Rs 150 to see the 120-kg gold statue of Samata Murti that you put up," she tweeted.
