A Mumbai-based advocate named Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh has filed a police complaint against Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut. As per him, the 'Manikarnika' actress is in the wrong for supporting her sister Rangoli Chandel over a tweet that stoked a major controversy last week.
In the controversial tweet, Rangoli allegedly called for violence against a particular minority community. This was not to Twitter's liking, which suspended the account permanently. Kangana said that her sister had no ill-will against the said community. "One sister calls for killings. The other sister comes out in support," the advocate comments in his complaint.
“The actor has misused her stardom, fanbase, fame, money, power and influence with an aim and intent to promote hatred, disbalance, fights in the country for their personal benefits and gains," the complaint adds.
Kangana recently donated money to the crew of 'Thalaivi', her Jayalalithaa biopic. The 'Panga' actress is against Twitter for demoralizing "nationalist voices".
