Police Catch Gangster In Pushpa 2 Screening

While Pushpa 2 led to a huge controversy between Allu Arjun and the police department in Telangana, it helped Maharashtra police in nabbing the most-wanted gangster. After chasing him for 10 months, police arrested gangster cum drug peddler Vishal Meshram on Thursday at midnight.

According to the reports, Meshram was inspired by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa character. He was arrested at a cinema hall in Nagpur while watching Pushpa 2 with his brother. He was arrested during the night show when police stormed the theatre after midnight. Initially, Meshram tried to evade but was overpowered by the officers. He was immediately taken into custody. Meanwhile, audiences in the theatre were confused about what was going on in theatre until the police officials informed them about the same.

Meshram was named in 27 cases which includes two murder cases. He is also accused of drug peddling and has been booked under MCOCA and MPDA. Earlier, he had evaded arrest twice and it was heard that he recently returned to Nagpur.

Reportedly, police tracked him through cyber surveillance and identified his movements in a Thar SUV. To ensure he couldn’t flee, they deflated his car tyres before raiding the hall. Meshram was arrested during the movie’s climax and is now lodged in Nagpur Central Jail. He is expected to be transferred to Nashik soon.
