Case filed against Chennai man who abused sanitation worker!

Despite Coronavirus pandemic affecting lives, the empty caste pride of several people haven't reduced a bit, and a recent instance of this was an incident of an elderly Chennai man abusing a sanitation worker, and the video of this incident had turned viral.

In the viral video, the elderly brahmin man abuses at a sanitary worker claiming that he's earning because of them and that they collect faeces and even goes on to encourage the sanitation worker to take video besides also threatening to assault him.

The said incident happened on April 10 at Pallikaranai, Chennai and the person who was hurled abuses at is Manikandan, a driver of a private sanitation vehicle, and the man who scolded him is Chandrasekar, residing in IIT colony, Pallikaranai. Pallikaranai police have filed an FIR against Chandrasekhar under IPC section 294(b) (obscene words in public) which can lead to imprisonment of up to three months or a fine. Chandrashekhar had been questioned by police, and since he's 77 years old he will not be arrested till the courts re-open.
