Kerala: A foreigner sells anti-coronavirus juice, booked!

In the midst of coronavirus scare, a 65-year-old British National, who runs a cafeteria at Varkala beach in Trivandrum was arrested on Wednesday for selling 'anti-coronavirus juice' at Rs 150 per glass. He went under the radar of Varkala police after he displayed a board outside his shop advertising his “anti corona juice” which is made of a combination of ginger, lemon, and gooseberry.

After locals complained about the foreigner, Varkala Police immediately arrested him. However, Police said that the Britisher did not have any malicious intentions and that with the special juice he had meant to highlight the general medicinal properties of the herbal fluid. He also added that the juice had no proven resistance to the dreaded virus. The Police let him go after giving him a strong warning to remove the promotion hoarding and stop selling the juice with misleading names.

Meanwhile, the novel coronavirus cases in Kerala rose to 27 on Wednesday. This includes two Foreigners as well.
