Piracy is one of the biggest menaces affecting Tamil film industry and recent victim of the same is 'Baahubali 2:The Conclusion'. The film which has created a new history by collecting Rs.1000 crores from theatres across the globe is available in websites publishing pirated links of Tamil films on the release day or within a few days after their theatrical release.
Tamil Film Producers Council President Vishal who has been fighting against piracy for years now, has lodged a formal complaint with the Commissioner of Police, Chennai.
Acting on the complaint, the police personnel have taken swift action and have arrested 16 people from various buzzars of Chennai were pirated DVDs are sold. They have also seized 2,100 pirated DVDs of the film.
Vishal has also mentioned the name of the notorious tamilrockers.com, the website which has been in releasing the new films after announcing the date and time of when it will be released. Hope the police nab the culprits operating this website too.
