The trend of screening old hit films of the stars on their birthday is on the rise especially it is a sure thing on birthdays of Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Thala Ajith the two stars who are currently ruling the Kollywood.

For Vijay's birthday falling on June 22, 2017 (this Thursday), many theatres across the state will be screening Vijay's past blockbusters. To top it all a movie hall in Melbourne, Australia will also be having a special screening of 'Thuppakki' on Vijay's birthday.

Now AGS Cinemas, a popular Multiplex chain in Chennai has announced a contest for Vijay fans to win free couple passes to watch Vijay films on their multiplex screens at Villivakkam in Chennai.

Fans have to send a Dubsmash video of a popular Vijay dialogue and those selected will get a couple pass.

The four movies that will be screened are 'Pokkiri', 'Nanban', 'Thuppakki' and 'Theri'. All four are mega blockbusters of Vijay,

This contest and special screening of Vijay films is also to mark the occasion of AGS Cinemas completing seven years of existence. The first movie hall of AGS was opened on 18th of June 2010 at Villivakkam.
