Twitter has been abuzz with Mahesh Babu's die-hard fans celebrating 'Pokiri' turning 14 on April 28. Twitter trends related to the movie have touched scintillating numbers.

#14YearsForSouthIndiaIHPokiri got more than 7.1 million tweets by Tuesday night. The humongous response shows the craze for Mahesh as well as the enormous popularity of 'Pokiri', the Puri Jagannadh directorial.

"The different trends related to the 2006 blockbuster mustered up as many as 8.5 million tweets in 24 hours by night. This is more than Superstar Mahesh Babu's birthday trend getting 8.4 million last year," a source says.

Starring Ileana as the heroine and Prakash Raj, Asish Vidyarthi and others in negative roles, 'Pokiri' had the box-office on fire when it came out. It earned a share of Rs 40 Cr. In Mahesh's words, the film made him a superstar.
