A couple of years ago, a poet hailing from Odisha was in Hyderabad to attend a congregation of poets. He bumped into a woman and developed a friendship with her.

After the two parted ways, they were in touch via online media. The friendship blossomed. The poet, a married man, started telling her that she was her wife in their previous births! This bizarre claim terrified her.

At one point of time, the poet even went to her parents to tell them their daughter was her wife in his last birth. The parents counselled him and asked him to stop pestering their daughter.

The good counsel fell on deaf ears. He continued to rankle the woman. She finally went to Cyber police, who promptly arrested him. After undergoing a few months of jail term, the man was let off on grounds of good conduct.

A few months later, the determined poet once again started approaching the woman, saying that he would marry her with the consent of his wife (the wife in this 'janma', obviously). This time, the woman didn't give him any chance and lodged a complaint with the Cyberabad police. The poet is not a freeman now, once again.
