Podaa Podi
The wait is set to come to an end at last. After much delay, it has been finally announced that STR's 'Podaa Podi' will hit the screens on the day of lights that is Deepavali. Directed by debutant Vignesh Shiva, the film marks the acting debut of veteran Sarathkumar's elder daughter Varalaxmi. Music for this romantic entertainer is by Dharan. The film, it is said, captures the various phases of life and will explain the audience in an interesting way how beautiful and how precious life is. "Both Simbu and Varalaxmi will be seen in different looks, portraying various ages. They have taken pains to give their best to their respective characters," sources say. Recently, Simbu launched 'Love Panlama Venama...', a single track from 'Podaa Podi'. It may be recalled that a rough cut of the song was released already and is a hit among the youngsters. Following this, the official version was recently launched. Happy about the movie getting released on Deepavali day, Simbu says, "Podaa Podi will be releasing for Deepavali. Vaalu has been pushed. After a very long time, will be having a Deepavali release." The score and soundtrack of the film are composed by Dharan, while cinematography and editing are handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively. |
