PN Sathya passes away

One of the action films directors and actor PN Sathya passed away at the age of 46 on Saturday night and he was cremated on Sunday. He was suffering from cancer for a long time.

Sathya starting his career from ‘Sundarapursha’ (Shashikumar and Indraja) directed ‘Majestic’ starring Darshan that gave action hero image for him. PN Sathya directed many top stars like Darshan, Sudeep, Dr Shivarajakumar, Dhuniya Vijay, Aditya and others.

Director of Don, Daasa, Saradaara, Udees, Shastri, Thangigaagi, Gooli, Kencha, Hatrick Hodi Maga, Sugreeva, Pagal, Jedarahalli, Bengaluru Underworld and Mari Tiger – he was known for lavish making and dashing subjects.

He lived very simple in life. He made preparations for his next film ‘U/A’ Kannada cinema but it is on papers. PN Sathya acted in Thirupathi, Udees, Saradara, Dhruva, Kencha, Bidda, Chaitrada Chandrama, Gun, Ram Leela, Chennamma IPS, Pagal and other Kannada films.

PN Sathya was last seen at the 16th year celebration of Majestic Kannada cinema at a private resort in Nelamangala. Darshan, MG Ramamurthy and others were present.

His body was kept at his sister house in Basaveshwaranagara. Challenging star Darshan, producers, director colleagues and others paid last respect.
