PM Narendra Modi wishes Vidhu Vinod on 'Broken Horses'

Narendra Modi is championing the Make In India initiative and it looks like Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Broken Horses has struck a chord with him. Broken Horses has the rare feat of being the first Hollywood film written, produced and directed by an Indian that is receiving global appreciation. It's the vision of Make In India at its best! Narendra Modi has reached out to Vidhu wishing him well on his Hollywood endeavour.
Vidhu wanted to show Broken Horses to the Prime Minister of India but unfortunately due to the hectic work schedule of Modi, a screening before the film's release was not possible. However, he sent a message to Vidhu thanking him for his invitation and wishing the film well.
A spokesperson from Vidhu Vinod Chopra office confirmed the development. Broken Horses is releasing on April 10.
Set in the shadows of US-Mexico border gang wars, 'Broken Horses' is an epic thriller about bonds of brotherhood, laws of loyalty and futility of violence. The film, which releases on April 10, has been written by Mr Chopra and Abhijat Joshi and is based on an original story by Mr Chopra.
'Broken Horses' principal cast features Vincent D'Onofrio (THE JUDGE, FULL METAL JACKET), Anton Yelchin (LIKE CRAZY, STAR TREK), Chris Marquette (ALPHA DOG, THE GIRL NEXT DOOR) and Maria Valverde (EXODUS). Chopra's technical crew on the film included Director of Photography Tom Stern (HUNGER GAMES, THE CHANGELING), Production Designer Toby Corbett (BAD LIEUTENANT) and Composer John Debney (IRON MAN 2).
'Broken Horses' is produced by Vinod Chopra Films and co-presented by Reliance Entertainment and marketed and distributed by Fox star Studios in India.
