Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi has taken the first shot of Coronavirus vaccine today morning at Delhi's AIIMS hospital, and has become the first beneficiary of the country in the second phase of the nationwide Coronavirus vaccination.
PM Modi was given the Covaxin vaccum developed by Bharat Biotech and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and from today the country begins vaccinating people over 60 and those over 45 with illnesses.
PM Modi shared a photo of himself taking vaccine and gave a message to people via Twitter "Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. Together, let us make India COVID-19 free".
