PM Narendra Modi Surpasses Indira Gandhi to Become India’s Second-Longest Serving Prime Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a historic milestone in Indian politics by surpassing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to become the second-longest serving Prime Minister in India’s history with an uninterrupted tenure.

On 25th July 2025, Modi completed 4,078 consecutive days in office, overtaking Indira Gandhi’s record of 4,077 days served between 1966 and 1977.
