Comedian Raju Srivastava earlier today breathed his last at AIIMS in Delhi. He was 58. Last month, Srivastava experienced chest pain and collapsed while doing physical exercise.
Condolences are pouring in from all quarters. "The guy who made the entire family laugh together. The best wholesome comedian in India. His Indian wedding set was his magnum opus." The tweet by Gabbbar Singh sums up the many tributes by ordinary folks on social media.
Among film celebs, Hrithik Roshan, Suniel Shetty, director Vivek Agnihotri, prominently paid tributes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour and positivity. "He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti," the PM wrote. BJP MP and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir wrote, "He will be remembered for enthralling the audience with his unique style of observation and clean comedy."
UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of State Kishan Reddy, and sever others joined.
