"The must-have plough poster for a commercial film!" director Prasanth Varma says, plugging a still of Dr. Rajasekhar carrying a plough in the latest poster of 'Kalki'.

The message has reminded those on social media of Mahesh Babu's recent plough-carrying act in 'Maharshi'. Earlier, we saw him do much the same in 'Bharat Ane Nenu'. In some of his movies, Superstar Krishna had carried it in style.

Plough, associated with farmers, strikes an instant chord with millions of audiences who have a rural or farming background. Naturally, our commercial movies have toyed with the idea of showing it as a symbol of hardwork and humble living.

In 'Kalki', 'Angry Star' Rajasekhar plays a cop. The film is set in the 1980s Telangana. The investigative thriller will release on June 28.
